College Connection

College Connections Initiative(CCI) is a service offered at the Syracuse Educational Opportunity Center designed to help under-represented economically challenged residents of Central New York achieve their dream of a college education. Part of the SUNY network, CCI primarily serves to ease the transition for student-prospects from pre-college to college life. The CCI office is located in the Syracuse Educational Opportunity Center, Student Personnel Services office, Room 200.  Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30AM – 4:30PM and Tuesday 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM. 

CCI provides advice and information on institutions of higher learning and nursing schools - both regional and local – including, but not limited to, SU, OCC, SUNY Upstate, and SUNY Morrisville. CCI also provides its student-prospects with transportation to and from local campuses for college fairs, open house events, nursing school information sessions and occasional special events. Students and community members may avail themselves to in person advisement through CCI, via appointment or, when available, on a walk-in basis. 

Finally, CCI provides advocacy for our college and university prospects, communicating with the institutions on their behalf, and assisting with the admissions and financial aid application process.
