Security Guard Training

This course is designed to provide the 8-hour pre-assignment instruction and certificate needed prior to applying to the Department of State for a Security Guard Registration Card.

Eligibility Requirements:

• 18 years of age
• Minimum TABE scores, Reading 8.1/Math 5.1
• High School Diploma OR Equivalent

Security Guard Training/License (Registration Card)/Employment Process:

1. Must first take the 8-hour training (pre-assignment) course
2. Must be fingerprinted (EOC pays cost)
3. Apply for Registration Card (EOC pays application cost)
   1. Must include following documentation:
      1. Copy of 8-hour pre-assignment training certification
      2. Fingerprinting documentation
4. Registration Card is good for two years
